i was reading another forum, the guy said have you try swapping the contact plate with the wires inside the steering wheelits works for him..so must be he fixed theni give a try swapping contact plate with the wires loom its works..the horn working since i done it. The path has been corrected and the horn is back.

The horn would of been continuous since the repair in. 2010. It could easily be overlooked because certain things need to be going on to create the environment for the horn not to work. As one of the links above shows if the vehicle has had the CUstomer satisfaction program done and it has not solved the problem then a complete CIM should be done.
Horn problems. I'm having trouble with the horn on my 2006 zafira 1.9 diesel. It was working intermittently before stopping all together. Checked fuse thats ok the horn itself was getting 12v and i could here the relay clicking so I replaced the horn with a new one but still not working. The fuse is still ok but I can't here the relay anymore . I have an Astra H 1.8 that doesn't start. Symptoms: Turn ignition - Spanner light comes on (solid not flashing) Fuel gauge moves then drops to zero 8-10 seconds later. OBD2 scanner cannot communicate with car. Pedal test shows/does nothing. Everything else (door locks/steering controls/horn/lights etc) work as expected. I have so far tried: If your Astra’s Horn isn’t working, one of the first things you should check is the horn relay. The relay is responsible for sending power from the battery to the Horn, so if it’s not working correctly, the Horn won’t either. The relay’s location is in the fuse box under the hood; if it’s faulty, you’ll need to replace it. 2) check the wires under the engine where the horn are connection no damage wire. 3) switch light on sidelight on fog light on. 4) using the panel brightness up and down. 5) radio volume up and down. i have try different ways to find out why the horn not working and seem i cannot find anything it seem that it might be cim faults why it have to Step 10: Step 10: Mount Your New Horn and Bracket to the Car. Using the 13mm nut from the Step 4, re-attach the mounting bracket to the vehicle. Only hand-tighten the nut, as it can be difficult to pull on/off. Attach the wires to the new horn. Re-attach the negative battery terminal. .
